Chennai, Feb 18 (NationPress) National Award-winning editor, K L Praveen, who is esteemed in the Tamil and Telugu film industries, has hailed actor Mahesh Babu’s film ‘Maharishi’, released in 2019, as a “cinematic masterpiece”.
On his Instagram page, Praveen, who was also the film's editor, stated, “Maharshi – A Journey of Success & Social Change. A film that elegantly intertwines ambition, friendship, and responsibility, ‘Maharshi’ is a cinematic masterpiece that resonates with every heart.”
The celebrated editor further noted, “From intense corporate drama to rural empowerment, every frame was designed to keep the narrative captivating and emotionally compelling. Editing this film focused on deepening its essence and amplifying its impact.”
He asked his followers to share the moment from the film that inspired them the most.
Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, Maharishi starred Mahesh Babu, Pooja Hegde, and Allari Naresh in leading roles. The film achieved remarkable success, grossing over Rs 200 crores worldwide and ranking as the third highest-grossing film of 2019.
Additionally, it secured two National Awards – one for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and another for Best Choreography.
The screenplay was co-written by Vamshi Paidipally, Hari, and Solomon, with lyrics by Shreemani. The action sequences were choreographed by Ram-Lakshman, and the film's music was composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
