Karan Johar Eager to Return to Directing

Mumbai, December 9(NationPress) Karan Johar is eager to return to directing.

He shared his enthusiasm on social media accompanied by some nostalgic images.

On his Instagram account on Monday, Karan mentioned, "behind the camera, my favorite place…can’t wait to be back". Along with this message, he posted several images of himself on set, directing various films.

In the first black-and-white image, Karan is seen gazing at the director's monitor, while Anil Kapoor can be seen in the background seated on a chair.

In another snapshot, Karan appears to be engaged in a discussion with Hrithik Roshan on set.

In the final image, Karan is pictured with Ranbir Kapoor, seemingly from his recent directorial project 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani'.

Karan's post suggests hints about his upcoming directorial project, which he revealed on his birthday.

On his birthday, Karan posted a picture of himself holding a draft of the film, which stated: *Untitled narration draft, directed by Karan Johar, 25th Mar, 2024.

Karan Johar began his directing career with “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, featuring Shahrukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee, and Kajol. The film was a massive success, establishing his reputation among top directors.

Subsequently, Karan collaborated with Shahrukh on numerous projects, producing hits such as 'Kabhi Khushi, Kabhi Gham', 'Kal Ho Na Ho', and 'My Name is Khan'.

In 2012, he directed “Student of the Year”, which starred newcomers Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Sidharth Malhotra.

In 2016, he directed “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil”, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and Aishwarya Rai as leads. After a long hiatus from directing, he made his return with “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani” in 2023.
