Los Angeles, Dec 17 (NationPress) Actress Lily Collins has opened up about feeling utterly exhausted while working on ‘Emily In Paris’ after becoming a mother.

The star expressed that she was “very tired” as a new mom, according to reports from ‘Female First UK’.

The 36-year-old actress welcomed her daughter Tove, her first child with husband Charlie McDowell, via surrogate in January. Shortly after, she resumed filming the fifth season of her popular Netflix series, stating that being on set felt like a “struggle” due to the many sleepless nights.

In an interview with The Sun newspaper, she shared, “As a mother, you have a different purpose and it’s really tough. It’s a struggle, and I’m just so grateful to be able to do both. I told everyone this year, ‘I’m usually good at memorization and knowing my lines, but this year, please give me some grace. I haven’t slept, I’m very tired, and I might not be at my best.’”

As reported by ‘Female First UK’, Lily celebrated her first Mother’s Day on May 11 by posting a picture of herself holding Tove in a sling, sharing her experiences as a first-time mom.

She wrote, “My first Mother’s Day. No words can describe this new journey, this new life. I love you with all of my heart, Tove, and all of the parts of it that have grown deeper since the day you were born and all those I never knew existed.”

She also expressed, “You have expanded my world, broadened my horizons, and widened my smile more than I knew was possible. And to think, it’s only the beginning. I couldn’t be more grateful or honored to be your mom.”

Lily later praised her husband as he celebrated his first Father’s Day in June, stating that Charlie was “born to be a dad.”

On Instagram, she shared, “Happy first Father’s Day @charliemcdowell. Tove is the luckiest little girl in the world to be yours. Seeing you with her is the most beautiful thing. You certainly were born to be a dad, and you continue to amaze me every day with the countless ways you protect and nurture her, make her laugh, and shower her with love. Thank you for taking such great care of our little T. What would we do without you? We love you so very much.”
