Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Los Angeles, March 7 (NationPress) Actress Lily Collins has reunited with her diamond engagement ring, which was stolen three years ago.
The star of “Emily in Paris” took to her Instagram Stories to express her astonishment as the jewelers successfully returned her original rose-cut diamond ring after all this time.
"Having this home means SO much to us," she wrote alongside a selfie showcasing the ring, according to reports from people.com.
"I’m still in disbelief that it’s back on my finger."
The engagement ring, along with her wedding band and other valuables, was taken from a West Hollywood hotel on May 6, 2020.
At that time, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department confirmed that officers were called to investigate a burglary involving a well-known female celebrity's belongings stolen from a secure locker.
Sources revealed that while Collins was enjoying the spa, she had locked her items away, but upon her return, they were missing. The theft was valued at "over $10,000."
Collins got engaged to her husband, Charlie McDowell, in September 2020. They shared the wonderful news on Instagram, posting photos of the proposal and a close-up of the stunning ring.
Shortly after, appearing on Live with Kelly and Ryan, Collins expressed her surprise at the custom-designed rock by Irene Neuwirth, saying, "It’s precisely what I would have wished for, and he really understood me well, obviously."
The couple tied the knot on September 4, 2021, in Dunton, Colorado.
"I've never wanted to be someone's someone more than I do yours, and now I get to be your wife," she shared on Instagram, accompanied by a photo of the couple sharing a kiss at the altar.
For their special day, Collins donned a custom and "magical" gown she described as a blend of Western Americana and British Victorian styles.
The dress took nearly 200 hours to create, adorned with lace, silk organza petals, and Swarovski-beaded micro flower appliqués, complemented by a dramatic floor-length hooded cape.
In the near future, Collins will step into the iconic role of Audrey Hepburn in a new film that explores the making of Hepburn's most famous movie, Breakfast at Tiffany's, promising more remarkable jewelry moments for the star.
Collins confirmed her portrayal of Hepburn, the beloved British actress and fashion icon who passed away at the age of 63 in 1993, in an upcoming film that delves behind the scenes of the 1961 romantic comedy.
