Lily Collins Discusses Her Style Transformation Post-Motherhood
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Los Angeles, March 31 (NationPress) Actress Lily Collins, known for her role in ‘Emily in Paris’, has opened up about the significant lifestyle adjustments she has made since becoming a mother.
Since welcoming her daughter Tove, her first child with husband Charlie McDowell, through a surrogate last year, the actress revealed that her wardrobe choices have drastically changed. She noted that she now wears high heels far less often, opting instead for practical footwear like ballet flats or sneakers, as reported by ‘Female First UK’.
In an interview with Marie Claire, Lily expressed, "I'm probably more geared towards understated, comfortable chic. Being a mum now, I’m definitely more functional. I wear heels a lot less - now I’m usually in ballet flats or sneakers.”
According to ‘Female First UK’, she elaborated on her “everyday outfit formula,” sharing that her typical look consists of jeans and T-shirts. She described it: "Oversized blazer, a great pair of jeans (mostly high-waisted), a button-down tee in light blue or white. A comfy cropped sweater and a solid sneaker or a ballet flat with an oversized bag to fit everything in for when I'm not wearing it." During the interview, Lily also disclosed her beauty routine, mentioning that she has stopped blow-drying her hair after cutting it into a chic bob.
She shared, "I only ever air dry it and I had to get over the whole maintaining-it-and-cutting-it-all-the-time. The shorter the hair, the more you notice that it needs to be cut... once you accept that you won't be able to maintain it constantly, it's very freeing (sic).”
Lily also revealed that she enjoys regular facials while filming ‘Emily In Paris’ in France, as the clinic she visits is known to work miracles on her complexion.
