After successfully passing a YG audition in Thailand in 2010, she trained for around five years. Within Blackpink, she excels as the main dancer, lead rapper, and sub-vocalist. The group debuted on August 8, 2016, with their single album Square One.

She launched her solo career on September 10, 2021, with the single album ‘Lalisa’. The lead track, along with the B-side ‘Money’, achieved remarkable international success, with ‘Money’ becoming the first song by a K-Pop solo artist to break into the top 10 on the Billboard Global 200 chart.
