The makers of the upcoming animated film Mahaprabhu Jagannath have released a full devotional music album across major streaming platforms, ahead of the film's nationwide release on 10 July. The multilingual soundtrack blends traditional bhajans, Sanskrit chants, and original compositions across Hindi, Odia, and Telugu, drawing on the rich devotional traditions surrounding Lord Jagannath.

What the Album Contains

The soundtrack features nine compositions, including the Jay Jagannath Title Song, Mahaprabhu Jagannath Title Song, Hey Prabhu Jagannath, Ahe Nila Saila, Mahavishnu Mantra, Chaturbhuj Jagannath, Garuda Gayatri, Vamana Stuti, and Brahma Gayatri. Each track is positioned as a standalone devotional piece while contributing to the film's broader spiritual arc.

Vocalists Somesh Satpathy, Atharva Bakshi, Aviral Kumar, and Abhay Jodhpurkar lend their voices to the album, giving it what the team describes as a blend of emotional depth and spiritual sincerity.

What the Makers Said

Producer Durga Prasad Dalai said the music was conceived as more than a film soundtrack. 'The music of Mahaprabhu Jagannath was never approached as just a film album for us. Every song was created with the intention of making people feel emotionally connected to Mahaprabhu Jagannath and to the innocence that exists within devotion. We wanted the soundtrack to feel celebratory, emotional, spiritual, and deeply Indian at the same time. It is the soul of our film,' he said.

Singer Aviral Kumar noted that the album was designed to take listeners through a range of emotional registers. 'One of the most beautiful things about this soundtrack is that every composition carries a different emotional texture while still feeling spiritually connected. Some songs make you want to celebrate, some make you emotional, and some simply make you pause and feel peaceful. That emotional journey became very important for us while building the music,' he said.

Singers on the Recording Experience

Singer Abhay Jodhpurkar, who features on one of the tracks, described the recording process as unusually immersive. 'There was a certain purity while recording these songs that is difficult to explain. The music does not try too hard to sound devotional, it naturally carries that energy. As a singer, you rarely come across songs where emotion and spirituality flow together so honestly. Recording for Mahaprabhu Jagannath felt deeply special,' he said.

Mahaprabhu Jagannath is the first title in the studio's Sanatan Universe series — an animated franchise centred on figures and narratives from Indian spiritual tradition. The film is scheduled for a nationwide theatrical release on 10 July. The music album is currently available across all major streaming platforms.
