Chennai, Jan 4 (NationPress) The production team behind the highly-anticipated action thriller 'Patriot', directed by Mahesh Narayanan, featuring the renowned Malayalam film icons Mammootty and Mohanlal, has officially announced that filming has concluded.

The news was shared via the film's official Instagram account, which stated, "That’s a wrap. Blood, sweat, belief. #PATRIOT marches on. See you on the Big screen."

They also unveiled a behind-the-scenes video showcasing the stars on set.

This film has generated significant buzz since its announcement, and includes notable actors like Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, and Revathy, alongside the two Malayalam legends.

The teaser released last year further heightened audience anticipation.

The teaser opens with a voiceover declaring, "I remember a time when this nation was ruled by the two of them. Together. Over the years, what they gained wasn’t merely followers. It was faith. Trust."

We then witness a series of gripping scenes, with Mammootty's voice stating, "They are going to bring social score to people." Following that, Mohanlal, who appears to portray an army general, asserts, "There are three of us. Do you think you can stop us?"

The teaser hints at a program called Periscope, with Kunchacko Boban playing a character named Daniel. Nayanthara questions, "This program that's part of the student laptop scheme, is it similar to Periscope?" Another voice inquires, "Is this program monitoring them secretly?" The teaser concludes with Mammootty challenging someone to finish the phrase, "Great Indian traitor... or Patriot."

Overall, the teaser suggests that the narrative will center around a group of socially aware individuals attempting to prevent an unlawful initiative by the government aimed at surveilling its citizens.
