Chennai, Nov 4 (NationPress) Renowned Malayalam actor Mammootty, who recently received the Kerala State Award for Best Actor for his exceptional role in director Rahul Sadasivan's acclaimed horror thriller 'Bramayugam', has graciously dedicated this accolade to the viewers. He expressed gratitude for the warm reception of Kodumon Potti, his character in the film.

Just a day after the awards were revealed, Mammootty took to his X timeline to extend his congratulations to all the winners of the 55th Kerala State Film Awards.

The celebrated actor shared, "Sincere congratulations to Shamla Hamza, Asif, Tovino, Soubin, Sidharth, Jyothirmayi, Lijo Mol, Darshana, Chidambaram, and the teams behind 'Manjummel Boys', 'Bougainvillea', 'Premalu' and all other recipients of the Kerala State Awards."

The actor continued to express thanks to his Bramayugam team and the audience, stating, "A heartfelt thank you to the entire team of #Bramayugam for providing me with such a memorable experience. I humbly dedicate this award to the audience who embraced Kodumon Potti with immense love."

It is worth noting that the winners of the 55th Kerala State Film Awards were announced at a press conference led by Minister of Cultural Affairs Saji Cherian on Tuesday in Thrissur.

The jury, which included renowned actor Prakash Raj, evaluated 128 films to select 38 for the final round before declaring the winners.

Among the notable winners was Shamla Hamza, awarded Best Actress for her role in 'Feminichi Fathima'. This film was recognized as the Second Best Film, with its director Fasil Muhammed receiving the Best Debutant Director award.

'Manjummel Boys' emerged victorious with 10 awards, including Best Director and Best Film. Chidambaram, the director of 'Manjummel Boys', also secured the Best Original Screenplay award. Soubin Shahir and Sidharth Bharathan both received the Best Character Actor (Male) award.

Another hit film, 'Premalu', was recognized as the Best Film with Popular Appeal and Aesthetic Value.

Lijomol Jose won Best Character Actor (Female) for her role in 'Nadanna Sambhavam'. The Best Screenplay (Adapted) award was presented to Lajo Jose and Amal Neerad for 'Bougainvillea'.

Special Jury Awards for Acting were given to Jyothirmayi for 'Bougainvillea', Darshana Rajendran in 'Paradise', Asif Ali in 'Kishkindha Kaandam', and Tovino Thomas in 'ARM'.

A Special Award in any Category for Women/Transgender was awarded to Payal Kapadia for 'All We Imagine As Light'. Prasanna Vithanage won Best Story for 'Paradise', which also received a Special Jury Mention.
