Chennai, Oct 22 (NationPress) The Central Board of Film Certification has officially given the green light to director Jithin K Jose’s Malayalam film 'Kalamkaval', starring Mammootty and Vinayakan, allowing its release with a U/A certificate.

On Wednesday, actor Mammootty shared on his X timeline, "#Kalamkaval Censored with U/A 16+ Certificate. In Cinemas Soon."

The film has generated significant excitement among fans and cinema enthusiasts since the teaser was unveiled.

The teaser opens with a suspenseful knock at the door, where a Tamilian inquires, "Who are you?" Following that, a police officer queries another unidentified cop, "Are you the one who's Nath?" The visuals then reveal both lead actors, with Vinayakan portraying a stern police officer, while Mammootty presents a composed figure, seemingly monitoring someone.

It's worth noting that Mammootty, through his production house Mammootty Kampany, first unveiled the film's title and poster on his X timeline.

This marks the seventh production from Mammootty Kampany, showcasing a tagline that reads, “The venom beneath.”

Earlier this year, the second look poster of Mammootty was shared, highlighting the tagline: "Some Faces Raise Questions… Not Answers... Presenting The Second Look Poster of #Kalamkaval Directed by Jithin K Jose."

'Kalamkaval', which completed filming in November last year, features a story and screenplay crafted by Jithin K Jose and Jishnu Sreekumar. Editing is handled by Praveen Prabhakar, and cinematography is by Faisal Ali. The soundtrack of this thrilling entertainer is composed by the talented Mujeeb Majeed, while action sequences are choreographed by Action Santhosh.

The film has garnered attention, with claims that it will present Mammootty in an unprecedented role.

Industry rumors suggest that he might portray a character with complex, grey shades, although no official confirmation has been provided thus far.
