Mumbai, April 10 (NationPress) Actor Maniesh Paul shared an interesting experience when he received a call from Bollywood icon Salman Khan, who complimented him after witnessing his performance as a host at an award ceremony.

During a discussion on the podcast hosted by Bharti Singh and Harssh Limbachiyaa, the trio delved into Maniesh's experiences working alongside prominent stars and his international tours, which he referred to as “a different game altogether.”

He reminisced, “I was hosting, and Salman sir came… He sat at the award night, and I was enjoying myself. Later, he called out ‘Aey, Maniesh!’... I blanked out for a few seconds… I thought, ‘Did he just say my name!’ … (After that) I carried on with my hosting duties and left.”

“Out of the blue, I received a call from Salman Khan saying, ‘Mind-blowing, you did well, very nice… Salman bol raha hun.’ His tone was so relaxed, like a friend, which made me quite nervous.”

“He later invited me to his Eid celebration, mentioning, ‘We are staging a show, Da-bangg; you host it.’”

Maniesh also opened up about his feelings of insecurity.

“Recently, I attended award shows and was in the presence of major stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar. I am just a boy from Malviya Nagar in Delhi, and suddenly I found myself talking to Bachchan sahab: ‘Sub sab badhiya ghabra toh nahi rahe,’ and I wondered, where did I find this courage?”

“I believe that great and genuine stars radiate warmth on stage… When they notice your spark, they don’t hold you back. Those are true actors… However, there are also some who notice your potential but don’t let you shine.”

Maniesh began his acting career with Ghost Bana Dost and has appeared in various serials, including Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi, Zindadil on ZeeNext, Ssshhhh...Phir Koi Hai on Star One, Wheel Ghar Ghar Mein, and Kahani Shuru with Love Guru. His film credits include Tees Maar Khan, Mickey Virus, and JugJugg Jeeyo.
