Amitabh Bachchan Shares Humorous Experience of Being Denied Entry by Security

Mumbai, Dec 28 (NationPress) Renowned actor Amitabh Bachchan recently recounted a humorous yet humbling episode from his past, remembering a moment when he was barred from entering an event, even though he was the star performer.

During an episode of his well-known game show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 16', Big B unveiled this surprising story while hosting renowned singers Gurdas Maan and Shankar Mahadevan. In the upcoming episode, Amitabh will share a light-hearted yet humbling account from his life, illustrating a time when he faced poor treatment from a security staff.

The 'Sholay' actor recounted, “I am referring to the 80s when we started doing stage performances. My career began with a show in America, which was such a success that it sparked considerable excitement among the audience. Later, as I prepared to perform in Chicago, the organizers suggested that due to the show’s immense popularity, I should not enter from the stage. Instead, they recommended that I make my entrance through the audience, and they would arrange a gate for my entry. However, as I approached the gate for my performance, the police intervened. They informed me, 'You cannot go in.' I replied, 'I’m the performer, I need to go in.'

Amitabh continued, “Shah Rukh Khan once shared a similar incident with me. During a show in Delhi, at the height of his fame, the event was specifically organized for him. He arrived late, and as he tried to enter, the police halted him. He told them, 'I’m Shah Rukh Khan!' The officer responded, 'You may be Shah Rukh Khan, but you cannot go inside.' Such occurrences happen quite frequently.”

The special New Year’s Eve episode of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 16' on Sony Entertainment Television promises to be an unforgettable celebration, with legendary singers Gurdas Maan and Shankar Mahadevan gracing the stage with their extraordinary talent and vibrant energy.

The New Year special episode featuring Shankar Mahadevan and Gurdas Maan is set to air on Tuesday on Sony Entertainment Television.
