Mumbai, Dec 1 (NationPress) For over forty years, Amitabh Bachchan has held dear the tradition of engaging with his fans every Sunday outside his home, Jalsa, in Mumbai, where admirers come in droves to catch a glimpse of the iconic star.

Yet, this past Sunday, the legendary actor chose to forgo this cherished practice for reasons undisclosed. Taking to social media, Amitabh conveyed that the unwavering love and adoration from his fans are what empower him to pursue his craft.

On his X (formerly known as Twitter) account, he shared a heartfelt message stating, "T 5582 - .. the smiles that make me live .. and exist and work (sic)."

In response to his expression of gratitude, a fan commented, "And you are the reason millions of us smile, sir! Your passion keeps us alive, inspired, and proud, always. Lots of love and respect (sic)."

Another admirer remarked, "The love and support from your fans are truly incredible, sir. Keep inspiring!"

A third user added, "Your words and your work keep inspiring us every day, Sir."

Professionally, Amitabh continues to captivate audiences as the host of the reality quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati 17.

The latest guests on the hot seat across from him were comedian-actors Sudesh Lehri and Kiku Sharda.

During the episode, Lehri credited Amitabh for being a source of inspiration throughout his career as a comedian.

"As a child, I never attended school, not even nursery. We were extremely poor," he revealed.

In a touching moment, Lehri shared that Amitabh was his unseen mentor guiding him through his artistic journey.

"I always loved watching films. The first time I visited a cinema was because someone took me, as I couldn’t afford it. The film was ‘Shankar Shambhu’. Later, I watched ‘Ganga Ki Saugand’, your movie, which featured that memorable hand scene. Then came ‘Namak Halaal’, and my love for comedy drove me to watch you repeatedly. We even obtained the videocassette of it," he recounted.
