Mumbai, Nov 18 (IANS) - Miss World 2017 and Bollywood star Manushi Chhillar is overjoyed as she marks the 8th anniversary of her victory at the Miss World pageant. On November 18, the actress shared a collaborative post that included a video of her crowning moment from eight years ago.

The pageant organization expressed heartfelt sentiments in the post, stating, “Eight years ago, the world witnessed a young woman from India step onto a global platform with quiet confidence and a heart full of purpose,” complete with a crown and star emoji.

The message continued, “In that unforgettable moment, @manushi_chhillar brought home the Miss World crown, ending a 17-year wait and filling an entire nation with pride. Eight years later, her victory remains a cherished memory, a national heartbeat, and a testament that dreams, when pursued with sincerity, can alter the course of history,” alongside an earth and blue emoji. It concluded with, “Here’s to the queen who inspired millions, and to the legacy that continues to shine brighter every year,” highlighted with a crown and star emoji.

Sharing the post on her social media story, Manushi included multiple heart emojis. Before entering the Miss World Pageant, Manushi was a medical student pursuing her MBBS degree. She made her Bollywood debut in Samrat Prithviraj alongside Akshay Kumar. In 2022, she appeared in Operation Valentine with Varun Tej, although the film did not resonate well with audiences. She later featured in The Great Indian Family starring Vicky Kaushal.

Most recently, the actress was seen in Bade Miyaan Chote Miyaan, alongside Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.
