Is Margot Robbie Really a 'Terrible' Cook?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Los Angeles, Feb 12 (NationPress) Hollywood star Margot Robbie admits she is a “terrible” cook. The ‘Barbie’ actress shared her kitchen struggles during a conversation with singer-songwriter Charli XCX.
Margot explained that she relies on her husband Tom Ackerley for all things culinary, as he is an “unbelievable cook”, according to reports from ‘Female First UK’.
When asked what dish she loves him to prepare, Margot replied to Complex, “He’s an unbelievable cook. Spaghetti Bolognese is a classic because everyone has their own take on it. His version takes nearly two days to prepare. There’s a lot of effort involved, but it’s absolutely worth it!”
On her own cooking skills, she stated, “No. I’m terrible. You only need one good cook in a relationship. You don’t both need to be skilled at it. And since I love eating, it works out perfectly.”
Charli, who is married to The 1975 member George Daniel, chimed in, admitting she also struggles in the kitchen, saying, “Babe, I’m in the same boat. My husband is an amazing cook. We’re both too busy, but they’re not. We love you guys! My husband makes fantastic shwarma. It doesn’t take quite two days, but it does involve a day of marination... if that’s a word?”
Margot humorously noted, “You can tell how often we’re in the kitchen.” This follows her reflection on her wild days in London before her rise to fame. The ‘Wolf Of Wall Street’ star revealed she had been banned from “most clubs in Clapham” while living with six friends in a cramped four-bedroom apartment until 2016.
On the Table Manners podcast, Margot recounted a particularly wild night at Infernos, a club they frequented. She explained how her roommates believed they couldn’t possibly get kicked out of the venue. However, after a weekend job in Belgium, they all ended up at Infernos.
Margot recounted, “We had a weekend in London after finishing our job. Naturally, we went to Infernos, and within 15 minutes, we were kicked out. As they dragged us out, I was yelling, ‘But this is Infernos, you can’t be kicked out!’ The bouncer replied, ‘We allow a lot, but when your friend does [redacted], we kick you out!’ I accepted that.”
Though Margot didn’t disclose the exact incident, she mentioned it wasn’t unusual for them to find themselves in trouble. She added, “I’d say we’ve been kicked out of nearly all the clubs in Clapham. For a while, we were banned from several places, which led us to decide to live together.”
Despite moving back to the US, Margot and her friends cherished the area and agreed to make it their home.
