Los Angeles, Dec 29 (NationPress) The talented Miley Cyrus, renowned singer-songwriter, is showcasing her knack for networking. The 33-year-old artist recently earned songwriting credits for the track 'Dream As One', featured in the upcoming 'Avatar: Fire and Ash', after expressing her interest directly to director James Cameron.

Cyrus reminisced about her encounter with the Avatar creator at the 2024 D23 Expo, where both were celebrated as Disney Legends, as reported by People. She shared, “I casually put it out there as I often do. I was aware of what he had been working on.”

She added a personal note for Cameron: “Just let me know if you ever need any music.” According to People, this offer came at a pivotal moment in the production of the third installment of the five planned Avatar films. Cyrus noted, “It kind of happened naturally. James refers to us as ‘Legends in Law’.”

Interestingly, Cyrus used a similar approach to secure her songwriting role for “Beautiful That Way”, a track for Gia Coppola’s The Last Showgirl, which starred Pamela Anderson. She commented, “I did something similar with (Last Showgirl star) Jamie Lee Curtis. That’s how I got involved with ‘Last Showgirl’ and now ‘Avatar’.”

Is this her go-to strategy for collaborating with filmmakers? “Not at all,” she said. “That’s why I attended the Oscars this year. Whenever someone introduced themselves, I would say, ‘If you need any music, I’m here.’”

This approach also applied to the creators of Netflix’s Emmy-winning Baby Reindeer, as she playfully stated, “I’m not sure what I would write for Baby Reindeer season two, but I mentioned it.”
