Mumbai, June 18 (NationPress) Mithila Palkar is stepping into the Tamil film industry with her debut in “Oho Enthan Baby”, where the first single “Natchathira” has just been released. The talented actress expressed that taking on the challenge of learning and performing in a completely unfamiliar language was something she had never anticipated.
Mithila remarked, "As an artist, I constantly aim to engage in ventures that push me beyond my limits, fostering growth both professionally and personally. Tackling the task of performing in a new language was a challenge I never foresaw, but here I am, embarking on my debut Tamil film. It has been overwhelming yet immensely rewarding.”
Known for her roles in ‘Little Things’, ‘Karwaan’, and ‘Chopsticks’, Mithila has previously worked in both Hindi and Marathi cinema.
She shared her excitement: “After recently exploring Telugu through my inaugural web series, making my mark in Tamil cinema with Oho Enthan Baby feels like a significant and beautiful progression. For artists, it’s all about pushing boundaries and uncovering new facets of ourselves.”
The film, featuring Mithila alongside actor Rudra in leading roles, is set to be released in theaters on July 11.
The promotional poster for her Tamil debut, unveiled in May, showcases the actress in a striking red outfit, looking down as she poses for the camera held by her co-star Rudra.
Directed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar, this Tamil romantic comedy promises to deliver a fresh and quirky perspective on love and relationships, as hinted by the poster's breezy and feel-good aesthetic, which is sure to evoke laughter and chemistry.
Earlier in February, Mithila completed filming for Oho Enthan Baby, describing the experience as truly special, not only because it marks her first Tamil film but also due to the incredible individuals she had the chance to collaborate with.
“Mastering my lines in Tamil was indeed a challenge, yet I cherished every moment. My co-star Rudra, director Krishnakumar Ramakumar, and the entire team made me feel welcomed and at home, despite my lack of proficiency in the language,” she added.
“Their unwavering support and kindness significantly eased the process and made it all the more enjoyable.”
