Mumbai, Dec 10 (NationPress) Actor Mohit Sehgal, celebrated for his roles in series like Miley Jab Hum Tum, Sarojini – Ek Nayi Pehal, and Naagin 5, recently commemorated his 40th birthday with a touching message that reveals why “turning 40 feels significant” to him. He opened up about his life journey, love, and the steadfast individuals who have supported him throughout.

Mohit shared some cherished moments from his serene birthday retreat with his wife, Sanaya Irani, whom he met during the filming of Miley Jab Hum Tum back in 2008. One image showcases the couple exchanging a lovely kiss, while a video captures Mohit extinguishing the candle on his birthday cake, adding a personal touch to the celebration.

He began his heartfelt note with: “Turning 40 feels significant, perhaps because my life has been filled with profound emotions, grand dreams, and immense love. I grew up surrounded by a great deal of affection and have always strived to appreciate it.”

The actor reflected on his nature, admitting: “I’ve always been somewhat emotional and reserved, and academics were never my strong suit.”

“However, I was quite ambitious—maybe overly so at times—and I always envisioned achieving remarkable things. Life has granted me some of those dreams.”

Discussing his debut series, Miley Jab Hum Tum, which revolves around college romance and enduring friendships, Mohit expressed: “My first show brought me unexpected success and admiration, and, importantly, it led me to the love of my life. Yet, life also threw challenges my way. My career fluctuated, and I recently lost my father, whom I cared for extensively.”

Mohit emphasized that through every trial, Sanaya has been his unwavering supporter.

“No matter the circumstances—whether I was absent, life didn’t unfold as we hoped, or we had to relinquish certain aspirations—my wife has always been there for me. I am incredibly thankful for her and our small family with Chief and Gus.

“I’m grateful for my friends, my chosen family. You’ve witnessed my highs and lows, and you’re still by my side, celebrating with me.”

Reflecting on this new chapter, Mohit remarked that his current life is simpler than what he envisioned at 20: “Today, I find fulfillment in a simpler existence, perhaps less extravagant than my youthful dreams, but far richer in what truly matters.”

“I possess love, individuals who believe in me, an opportunity to rebuild and rediscover myself, and to enter this new phase with greater honesty, humility, and gratitude than ever.”

Mohit concluded that turning 40 has taught him that “dreams are beautiful, but the true miracle lies in the people who stand by you as you pursue them, and I am fortunate to have many such miracles in my life.”

Additionally, Mohit mentioned that he and Sanaya managed to organize a brief birthday getaway, humorously discussing their exhaustion from travel while they enjoyed a pastry just before midnight.

“This is us, who managed to plan a trip in just five days. We were tired from our flight and barely got a pastry before everything closed to celebrate my birthday at midnight.”
