The series also starred Vaishnavi Mahant (originally played by Kitu Gidwani) as journalist Geeta Vishwas and Surendra Pal as the primary antagonist, Tamraj Kilvish.

It gained immense popularity and was recognized for its influence on children, with Mukesh receiving accolades from Indian political leaders for his performance. The show was succeeded by Shaktimaan: The Animated Series in 2011, and a television film, Hamara Hero Shaktimaan, in 2013.
