Mumbai, March 31 (NationPress) Rapper Naezy, who has released a new track “Angaar Hai”, asserts that rap was never intended to be sugar-coated and insists that if it fails to make audiences uncomfortable, it isn't genuine.

“Angaar Hai” features an explosive combination of rapid-fire lyrics and raw storytelling, exploring themes of street life, ambition, and survival.

Reflecting on the song's launch, Naezy, whose actual name is Naved Shaikh, remarked: “Rap was never meant to be sugar-coated. If it doesn’t make people uncomfortable, it’s not real. Too many so-called rappers play it safe, chasing trends instead of speaking the truth.”

He emphasized his desire to do more than merely entertain.

The rapper stated: “I’m not just here to entertain, I’m here to dominate. If my words hit hard, it’s because they’re meant to.”

This track showcases a new flair in his artistry, featuring high-energy visuals of fast cars drifting, powerful movements, and a bold exhibition of success—elements that have been less prominent in his previous works.

As the concluding piece of his EP Fateh, “Angaar Hai” highlights Naezy's distinctive approach in every aspect, from vocals to music and lyrics, with production by Blurface that amplifies its impact.

Directed by Manil Kandwal, the music video visually enhances the song's intensity, creating an immersive experience for fans. The track is released under T-Series.

Naezy first caught attention with a DIY music video “Aafat!” created on an iPad in 2014, followed by his collaboration with Divine on the breakout hit “Mere Gully Mein” in 2015.

After the song's debut, a documentary titled Bombay 70 about his life was produced, which won the award for best short film at MAMI in 2014.

Their music garnered the interest of director Zoya Akhtar, inspiring her to create the film Gully Boy, featuring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. This film is loosely based on the lives of DIVINE and Naezy, who were consulted for the rap elements. “Mere Gully Mein” was reinterpreted for the film.
