Nakash Aziz Shares His Full-Circle Journey with the New Track from ‘Loveyapa’

Mumbai, Jan 6 (NationPress) Playback singer Nakash Aziz, recognized for his popular songs like Saree Ke Fall Sa, Jabra Fan, and the title track of Allu Arjun's ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, has kicked off 2025 on a remarkable note with the release of ‘Loveyapa Ho Gaya’. The artist expressed that he has always aspired to showcase his vocal talents for Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, and the forthcoming movie ‘Loveyapa’ provided him the chance to sing for Aamir’s son, Junaid.
‘Loveyapa’ features Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, exploring the essence of Gen-Z romance. For Nakash, this project signified a full-circle moment.
Reflecting on this experience, he shared, “The first song I ever performed was ‘Papa Kehte Hain’ (from ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’) during my school’s annual event in Aurangabad. I fell in love with Udit Narayan’s voice for Aamir Khan in that film, which greatly enhanced my experience of watching ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’ at the cinema as a toddler. I never imagined I would sing for Aamir Khan, until I had the chance to do so for the Telugu version of Thugs Of Hindostan.
He added, “Aamir is one actor whose films always leave me in awe, and I yearned to sing for him. But as fate would have it, I got the chance to lend my voice to Junaid through the innovative and contemporary music by Sachin-Jigar and the lyrics crafted by my creative partner Amitabh Bhattacharya. I’m genuinely excited about this project.”
Nakash also emphasized the need to inject freshness and playfulness into the song, stating, “I received a call from Sachin-Jigar’s studio while I was in Goa for a performance, asking if I could record this track. They believed it needed intricate vocal arrangements along with a dose of fun and excitement. As soon as I heard the melody, I was thrilled to experiment with various styles.”
“I dove right into the project and truly enjoyed the process. We recorded it in segments, transforming my hotel room into a makeshift studio, and jammed throughout the night in Goa, as well as in my studio in Mumbai,” he concluded.
