Mumbai, June 22 (NationPress) Renowned actress Neena Gupta is set to appear in the fourth season of the hit series, Panchayat. In a recent exclusive interview with IANS, she disclosed that her recognition largely stems from either Choli Ke Peeche or Panchayat.
Neena expressed, "People predominantly recognize me because of either Choli Ke Peeche or Panchayat. Most of my current fame is attributed to Panchayat. Wherever I travel, even internationally, people inquire about Panchayat -- 'when is it returning?', 'it is outstanding'. This is truly gratifying."
Previously, the actress stated that her role as Manju Devi highlights that women can indeed take charge if they choose to do so.
Neena explained, "My journey with Panchayat truly commenced in Season 1, particularly during the flag hoisting scene -- it marked Manju Devi’s pivotal moment. In numerous villages, women often accept not knowing or learning certain aspects, but what I cherished about my character was her decision to defy that norm."

Moreover, Neena revealed that the notion of Pradhanpati persists in various regions across the nation.
"Through this series, I am delighted that we could illustrate that if women wish to lead, they certainly can," she noted.
The upcoming fourth season of Panchayat also features Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy, Sanvikaa, Durgesh Kumar, Sunita Rajwar, and Pankaj Jha reprising their roles from the original series.
Produced by The Viral Fever, Panchayat Season 4 has been directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, with the screenplay written by Chandan Kumar.
Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and Akshat Vijaywargiya, Panchayat Season 4 is set to launch on Prime Video on June 24 this year.
