Hyderabad, May 22 (NationPress) The creators of director A M Jothikrishna's highly anticipated epic film 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu', starring actor Pawan Kalyan in the lead role, have announced that they will submit the film to the Censor Board for evaluation within a week's time.
In a conversation with IANS, director Jothikrishna shared, "The film is completely finished. We will be applying to the Censor Board in a week's time."
Jothikrishna revealed that the film was shot over a span of 200 days. This historical drama features Nidhi Aggarwal as the female lead and Bollywood actor Bobby Deol portraying Aurangzeb.
"This narrative is set in the 16th century. Bobby Deol embodies Aurangzeb in the film, which unfolds during the Mughal era. It is inspired by a lesser-known incident from that time, blending both fact and fiction. Our story combines these elements, and Pawan Kalyan portrays a Robin Hood-like character, a thief in this tale," Jothikrishna explained.
The film, which commenced production in 2020, has been crafted with great passion. Discussing his transition to directing this project, Jothikrishna noted, "Krish Jagarlamudi was initially at the helm, but due to COVID-related delays and his commitment to other projects post-pandemic, I took over. The original script was extensive, and since it is a period piece, we opted to release it in two parts. Hence, I rewrote Part I and directed this rendition."
The first installment, 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 Sword Vs Spirit', is set to premiere on June 12 this year.
When asked about the total number of parts planned for the film, the director smiled and replied, "Currently, we envision it as a two-part film. The film's success will determine if more parts are made based on audience demand."
In response to a query about whether any portions of Part 2 had already been filmed, the director confirmed, "Yes, we have filmed around 10 percent of Part 2 as well."
The film's soundtrack has been composed by the legendary M.M. Keeravaani. Notably, Keeravaani unveiled the third single from the film, 'Asura Hananam', during a grand event in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
The cinematography is handled by Manoj Paramahamsa and Gnanashekar V.S., with production design by Thota Tharani. The editing is done by K L Praveen, who is a National Award-winning editor.
Alongside Pawan Kalyan, Nidhi Aggarwal, and Bobby Deol, 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' will also feature Nassar, Sathyaraj, Thalaivasal Vijay, Raghu Babu, Subbaraju, and Sunil, among others.
