Mumbai, Nov 10 (NationPress) Following the recent news of veteran actor Dharmendra's hospitalization, it has been reported that actor Prem Chopra has also been admitted.
Prem Chopra was taken to Leelavati Hospital on Saturday, as stated by Dr. Jalil Parker. The doctor revealed that the actor is being treated for both a heart condition and a viral infection, but there are positive signs of his recovery.
Dr. Parker noted, "Prem Chopra ji was admitted to Leelavati Hospital two days ago under his family cardiologist, Dr. Nitin Gokhale. He has a heart issue and has also developed a lung infection due to the viral infection, for which I am also part of the treating team. He is not in the ICU; he is in the wards and is not critical."
He added, “Given his age-related issues, recovery may take some time. He is 92 years old, and we expect him to be discharged in another 2-3 days. His condition is stable.”
This news follows the admission of Dharmendra, who was reportedly placed on a ventilator due to breathing difficulties. Son Sunny Deol's team has released a statement confirming that the actor is currently stable and under observation.
They stated, “Mr. Dharmendra is stable and under observation. Further updates will be provided as they become available. We ask for everyone to pray for his speedy recovery and respect the family’s privacy.”
Just a week prior, his wife, Hema Malini, assured the media during an earlier hospital visit that he was doing well. Dharmendra resides at his Khandala farmhouse with his first wife, Prakash Kaur, having relocated there due to increasing pollution levels in Mumbai.
