Chennai, April 18 (NationPress) The talented actor Prithviraj is set to star in the highly anticipated revenge thriller 'Khalifa', directed by Vysakh. Recently, he posted a captivating new image portraying his character, much to the excitement of his fans and cinema enthusiasts.

On his Instagram, Prithviraj unveiled a youthful image of himself alongside the caption, "AAMIR - The story that was…! #KHALIFA."

The film has generated significant buzz among audiences and is considered one of the top cinematic releases of the year.

Earlier this year, in January, the production team welcomed Bollywood star Neil Nitin Mukesh into the Malayalam film landscape.

On Neil's birthday, Prithviraj expressed his warm welcome to the actor, stating, "Happy birthday Neil Nitin Mukesh! Welcome to the Malayalam film industry! #KHALIFA"

For those not in the know, Prithviraj portrays Aamir Ali within the film’s intriguing narrative. On his previous birthday, he had shared a sneak peek video from Khalifa.

He remarked, "A revenge forged by a lineage that spans generations! Next Onam.. Aamir Ali will write his vengeance in gold! #KHALIFA - The Ruler."

The glimpse video opens with a news report indicating that law enforcement has uncovered a multi-million dollar gold smuggling operation linked to the Middle East, with connections extending to London, Nepal, and Kerala.

In a notable scene, an elderly man is interrogated by a customs officer named Panicker, who warns that Aamir is finished and will face imprisonment as soon as he sets foot in India. Panicker attempts to intimidate the man by referencing the COFEPOSA act.

The interrogated individual responds, "Do you know how the COFEPOSA came into being?" The video then showcases some thrilling action sequences featuring Prithviraj. He elaborates on the origins of the COFEPOSA act, recounting the historical figures involved and ends by challenging the official to capture Aamir, hinting at an explosive confrontation during the Uroos festival at the Mambaram mosque.

Prithviraj’s portrayal of Aamir Ali promises a gripping narrative filled with edge-of-your-seat chases and stunts.

It’s worth mentioning that Prithviraj completed filming his segments in the UK last August.

Fans have been eagerly anticipating this project since its announcement. In his inaugural post for Khalifa, Vysakh expressed his excitement, stating, "The journey of #Khalifa officially begins! Originally announced in 2022, the film began production in 2025, and while it was initially slated to shoot in Dubai, Nepal, and Kerala, filming has now taken place in the UK.

This collaboration marks Prithviraj's second project with Vysakh in over 15 years, following their successful partnership on 'Pokkiri Raja', and will also be his next venture with writer Jinu V Abraham, who previously penned 'Kaduva'.
