Mumbai, Oct 25 (NationPress) Actor R. Madhavan, recognized for his last appearance in ‘Aap Jaisa Koi’, continues to maintain his youthful appeal. Nearly 25 years have passed since he charmed audiences in ‘Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein’, captivating a generation with his innocence and charisma.

Recently, the actor sparked excitement on social media by unveiling his first look from the anticipated film ‘G.D.N.’ on Saturday. He shared a clean-shaven appearance via Instagram, igniting a wave of enthusiasm among his fans.

In his post, he expressed, “Another day... another look... Life on set continues. I feel so blessed and thankful to be surrounded by an extraordinary cast, crew, and wonderful producers. #GDN.”

This film chronicles the life of Gopalaswamy Doraiswamy Naidu (GDN), a self-educated engineer and industrialist from Coimbatore, known for transforming imported technologies into affordable, practical solutions for India. He is often referred to as the “Edison of India” for his pioneering work in creating India’s first indigenous electric motor, as well as designing various products ranging from razors and fans to small petrol engines and agricultural hybrids.

GDN established workshops, training institutes, and an industrial exhibition that laid the groundwork for local manufacturing. He also played a significant role in founding technical colleges in the area. His blend of practical innovation, entrepreneurship, and vocational education has left a profound industrial legacy in Tamil Nadu.

Directed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar, the biopic is produced by Varghese Moolan Pictures in collaboration with Tricolour Films. Reports suggest that R. Madhavan and his wife Sarita (Tricolour) are also part of the production team, with Govind Vasantha composing the music. The film features notable performances by Priyamani, Yogi Babu, and Jayaram.

In the meantime, Madhavan was recently seen in the streaming film ‘Aap Jaisa Koi’, which tells the story of Shrirenu (played by Madhavan), a 42-year-old Sanskrit professor steeped in tradition, whose life takes an unexpected turn when he encounters Madhu (played by Fatima Sana Shaikh), a free-spirited French language instructor from Kolkata.

The narrative unfolds in Jamshedpur and Kolkata, as their unconventional romance challenges age gaps, societal expectations, and gender roles. The film was directed by Vivek Soni and produced by Dharmatic Entertainment.
