Raashii Khanna Shares Her Joy Following PM Modi's Endorsement of ‘The Sabarmati Report’

Mumbai, Nov 28 (NationPress) Raashii Khanna recently conveyed her excitement and gratitude after Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded her film The Sabarmati Report.
In an exclusive conversation with IANS, the actress stated, “I was ecstatic and genuinely didn’t anticipate such tremendous support. Messages from chief ministers and other prominent figures like Prime Minister Narendra Modi were extraordinarily uplifting. It has created a significant impact, and the momentum continues to build. On November 29th, Cinema Day, tickets will be available for Rs. 99. Do you believe this will aid your film? Absolutely! It’s a wonderful chance for those who haven’t seen the film to experience it in theaters. It’s like a gift for the audience, and I hope they seize this opportunity.”
When queried about the prior criticism faced by her film, she replied, “I’d simply suggest watching the film before forming any opinions. Those who’ve viewed it realize that it’s not propaganda. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Therefore, I encourage everyone to watch the film with an open mind and make their own judgments.”
In the movie, Raashii plays the courageous journalist Amrita Gill.
In the meantime, Raashii, who will celebrate her birthday on November 30, marked her pre-birthday by planting saplings with 100 children.
Speaking on this initiative, the actress shared, “Actually, this year I’m celebrating a pre-birthday. My plan is to travel to Varanasi with my family to visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Before that, since I plant saplings every year, I wanted to do something more significant this time. I contacted Seher from the Bhamla Foundation, who is passionately dedicated to environmental causes. She proposed the idea of planting saplings with children to educate the younger generation about the importance of nurturing the environment.”
“For the past four years, I’ve been planting saplings on my birthday. Additionally, I have a tradition of hosting a satsang at home every year. I’m very spiritual, and celebrating with God has always been significant to me. I’ve been doing this for the last ten years. This year, I planned a pre-birthday celebration because I’ll be in Varanasi on my actual birthday. My focus has always been on maintaining a connection with God and, in recent years, inspiring others through small, positive actions. I realized a few years back how much influence actors possess. Since then, I’ve sought to leverage that influence positively. Even if it’s a minor contribution, it can still make a difference,” Khanna added.
