Mumbai, June 23 (NationPress) In its second week, Maheep Kapoor, Ashish Vidyarthi, alongside Mukesh Chhabra and Raftaar, faced elimination from the show.
Maheep remarked, “We were both mentally and physically exhausted. I’ve mentioned this before, and I’ll say it again: it’s easy to sit in your living room and turn on the TV and judge.”
“You all know who the Traitors are, but we didn’t. It’s quite convenient to ask, ‘What are they doing? Why are they doing that?’ It’s a mental game. It’s entirely psychological,” she explained.
Reflecting on his unexpected departure from the show, Raftaar shared, “I’m actually quite pleased; this is the first show where even being eliminated is a badge of honor — ‘He was very clever, removing him was essential.’ So, this format is something I truly appreciate.”
“(I’m genuinely happy. This is the first show where even elimination is considered a point of pride — 'He was really smart, it was necessary to eliminate him.' I find this format fantastic.)”
Ashish Vidyarthi drew parallels between real life and The Traitors, stating that the game reflects real-life situations.
“This is a game, yet it mirrors reality. In real life, we believe we are intelligent, but we often don’t realize when we become part of the herd mentality. What you witness in Traitors reflects what occurs in the world — we think we’re very wise. It’s a profound realization. For me, it was a masterclass in life.”
“(This game mimics real life. We believe we are clever, but we often don’t realize when we fall into herd behavior. What we see in Traitors is happening globally — you feel like you’re quite knowledgeable. That’s when individuals wake up to the truth. It was a life lesson for me.)”
Mukesh Chhabra highlighted the uniqueness of the reality show.
“The way they have structured the show is extraordinary. The person I’m dining with can change their opinion about me in the blink of an eye — just while reaching for a plate. When you look back, everything has shifted. Every moment, people are altering their perceptions of each other — that’s the core of this show.”
Produced by BBC Studios India Productions, Prime Video presents the Indian adaptation of IDTV’s BAFTA and Emmy award-winning global format, The Traitors, in collaboration with All3Media International. Episodes 1 to 6 of The Traitors are currently available for streaming on Prime Video.
