Mumbai, Nov 13 (NationPress) Actor Rajendra Chawla, who is set to appear in the upcoming series ‘Lakshmi Niwas’, has shared his heartfelt aspirations related to his middle-class dream of owning a home and its significance in his life.

For a typical middle-class individual, the vision of constructing their own residence transcends mere bricks and walls; it embodies pride, stability, and affection. Rajendra will portray the character of Srinivas in the show. Similar to his character, he has also led a life fueled by the simple yet profound aspiration of having a home built on dedication and hope.

Recalling how his real-life experiences resonate with Srinivas’s narrative, Rajendra shared a poignant memory from his past that imparted the true essence of stability and self-reliance.

He expressed to IANS, “From my viewpoint, a significant part of my life has been dedicated to creating a home because I commenced my journey with that singular dream: ek din apna ghar hoga. When you hail from a middle-class background, dreaming isn't enough; you must plan, save, and sacrifice. Growing up, I witnessed my parents transform every small saving into a stepping stone for something grander. I vividly remember the day my father took me to the bank and said, ‘Beta, today we will make a small, fixed deposit in your name’. I believed it was a gift. But after a few moments, he smiled and said, ‘I’m not gifting you money; I’m providing you with an injection—a habit to save’. That lesson has remained with me throughout my life. Gradually, over the years, those small savings laid the groundwork for my own home.”

He further added, “When I embody Srinivas, I relive that sentiment, the pride of saving piece by piece, the anxiety of potentially falling short, and the delight of witnessing your family's aspirations materialize. His tale mirrors mine, and I believe it reflects the story of every middle-class father, characterized by love, patience, and quiet perseverance.”

In ‘Lakshmi Niwas’, Srinivas is depicted as a devoted and selfless family man who has devoted his life to the everyday duties of managing household responsibilities, his children's education, their marriages, and fulfilling his wife Lakshmi’s desires for the family. However, in addressing these immediate needs, his own aspiration of creating a home for his wife has consistently taken a backseat. Now, as retirement looms, that long-cherished promise has once again become the pulse of their relationship.
