Chennai, Jan 25 (NationPress) The legendary Rajinikanth recently had a heartwarming encounter with one of his devoted fans from Madurai, who operates a small eatery selling parottas for just Rs 5 each to assist the less fortunate. In a gesture of gratitude for his noble contributions, Rajinikanth bestowed upon the fan a stunning gold chain.

On the professional front, Rajinikanth is currently filming for ‘Jailer 2’ under director Nelson. He has also confirmed that he will commence shooting for another project with director Cibi Chakravarthy in April this year.

During a recent interaction outside his home on the festival of Pongal, Rajinikanth addressed inquiries regarding his highly anticipated collaboration with Cibi Chakravarthy, which is being produced by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International. He stated, “Shooting is set to begin in April this year. It promises to be a genuine commercial entertainer.”

The announcement of this film, tentatively titled #Thalaivar173, has stirred considerable excitement, particularly after Kamal Haasan confirmed that his production house would be involved.

Initially, the project was slated to be directed by Sundar C, a prominent figure in Tamil cinema, who had described it as a grand production. However, in a surprising turn of events, he stepped aside from the project.

In light of Sundar C's exit, it was recently disclosed that Cibi Chakravarthy would be taking over the directorial reins. The film, which carries the tagline ‘Every family has a hero’, will feature music composed by Anirudh.
