Mumbai, Nov 13 (NationPress) Actress Rakul Preet Singh made a pilgrimage to the Siddhivinayak Temple located in the Dadar area of Mumbai on Thursday, seeking blessings from Lord Ganpati ahead of her anticipated film release, ‘De De Pyaar De 2’.
Dressed in a vibrant yellow traditional outfit, the actress offered her prayers and later engaged with media outside the temple. She graciously distributed prasad to journalists, advising them to accept it with their right hand.
In this sequel, Rakul stars alongside Bollywood icons Ajay Devgn and R. Madhavan. She makes her debut in the franchise as Ajay's romantic interest, bringing new dynamics to the story.
Earlier this week, she shared insights about her experience working with R. Madhavan, who plays her father and serves as a significant obstacle in the love story of Ashish (Ajay Devgn) and Ayesha.
Rakul expressed, “I have always admired him. Working as his on-screen daughter was a wonderful experience. We had many insightful discussions on set, and I learned a great deal from him. His talent elevated my performance.”
She added, “R. Madhavan's humility and grounded nature reaffirm that one should remain humble regardless of their time in the industry. Collaborating with him was a true delight.”
This sequel continues the story of Ashish and Ayesha as they navigate the complexities of love, laughter, and family dynamics, especially when Ashish meets Ayesha’s parents.
‘De De Pyaar De 2’ is directed by Anshul Sharma and produced by T-Series under Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, alongside Luv Films under Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg. The film stars Ajay Devgn as Ashish Mehra and Rakul Preet Singh as Ayesha Khurana, continuing their age-gap romance from the previous installment.
The narrative focuses on Ashish's efforts to win over Ayesha’s family, filled with humor and awkwardness stemming from their age difference. The film is set to hit theaters on November 14, 2025.
