Mumbai, April 2 (NationPress) On Hanuman Jayanti, the creators of the anticipated epic film “Ramayana” revealed the portrayal of Lord Rama, brought to life by Ranbir Kapoor. Describing it as a “humbling experience,” the acclaimed Bollywood actor highlighted the rare purity that Lord Rama embodies.

In discussing his role as Rama, Ranbir stated: “I don’t see myself as representing Rama. My aim is to learn from him. His simplicity and purity are extraordinary, and trying to comprehend and incorporate that into my role has been profoundly humbling.”

The teaser for ‘Rama’ signifies a pivotal moment for global audiences, spotlighting a figure whose narrative has persisted for over 5,000 years. Produced by Namit Malhotra and directed by Nitesh Tiwari, this film is set to be a two-part cinematic franchise.

Director Nitesh Tiwari remarked: “The brilliance of the Ramayana lies in its emotional depth. It transcends the mere battle of good against evil, delving into choices, consequences, and the importance of righteousness.”

He further emphasized: “Rama’s journey is profoundly human, and we have strived to remain true to that essence.”

Rama exemplifies a hero that is seldom seen in contemporary narratives. He prioritizes duty above personal desires, willingly renouncing power when morally required, and undertaking necessary sacrifices despite personal losses.

Revered as Maryada Purushottama, Rama symbolizes dignity, compassion, and ethical clarity, even amidst challenges like exile, loss, and injustice. This timelessness contributes to his enduring legacy.

Producer Namit Malhotra stated: “The essence of Rama’s narrative is not in his victories but in his relinquishments. He sets a standard that is challenging; yet essential.”

The cast also includes Sai Pallavi, Yash, Ravie Dubey, Sunny Deol, Lara Dutta, and Amitabh Bachchan in pivotal roles.

The Ramayana has been adapted into over 300 versions across various cultures and regions globally.

Renowned composers Hans Zimmer and A. R. Rahman are collaborating for the film’s score.

‘Ramayana’ is envisioned as a two-part live-action cinematic universe, designed on an unprecedented scale.

The film will feature top Hollywood stunt coordinators Terry Notary (known for Avengers, Planet of the Apes) and Guy Norris (from Mad Max: Fury Road, Furiosa), who will choreograph the thrilling battles between deities and demons.

‘Ramayana’ is being produced for IMAX and is set for a worldwide release, with Part 1 scheduled for Diwali 2026 and Part 2 for Diwali 2027.
