Mumbai, Feb 10 (NationPress) Television actress Rashami Desai, renowned for her performance in the hit series Uttaran, recently opened up about her views on marriage and the quest for a suitable partner.
In a heartfelt discussion with IANS, the actress mentioned that while her family is actively seeking a match for her, she has faith that the right person will come into her life at the appropriate moment. When questioned about her criteria for selecting a life partner, Rashami stated, “Well, my parents are trying hard! But honestly, I believe the right person will come into my life at the right time.”
Reflecting on her transition from television to OTT, Desai expressed, “My journey is a continuous saga because my dreams are expansive. Yet, I feel grateful for the work I have accomplished thus far. Throughout my television career, I ensured to explore diverse roles and bring a variety to my performances.”
“I have appeared in three shows, all of which were positively received by audiences. Now, I aspire to move into OTT platforms, films, and web series. As an actress, my ambitions are many. I wish to undertake various characters and depict them in the best manner possible. However, opportunities arise in their own time, and when they do, it’s a true blessing,” she added.
The Dil Se Dil Tak actress also shared her aspirations regarding directors she wishes to collaborate with. “I dream of working with Imtiaz Ali and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. I am willing to audition and I hope to have the chance in this lifetime to collaborate with them. Their ability to provide audiences with fresh perspectives on life is truly beautiful,” Rashami remarked.
When asked if she believes that Bollywood tends to typecast television actors, she replied, “They do, and facing difficulties is part of life. When you put in the effort and produce quality work, you are likely to enjoy the rewards of your labor. Yes, challenges exist, and they do generalize you - television actor, OTT actor, film actor - but in my view, an actor is simply an actor. I also think that taking a break is equally vital for an actor.”
Rashmi Desai was last seen in the satirical action-comedy Hisaab Barabar, which featured R. Madhavan, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Kirti Kulhari, and Faisal Rashid.
