Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon, a well-known animal welfare advocate, recently rescued a frightened stray puppy at an airport, named him Bhairav, and successfully found him a loving forever home in New Delhi. The heartwarming episode, which Tandon documented across social media, unfolded on what she described as a 'full wholesome heartfelt day.'

How Bhairav Was Found

According to Tandon, Bhairav was discovered alone at the airport after apparently hiding out of fear while the other stray dogs in the area were cleared away. In a video shared by the actress while travelling with the puppy in her car, she was heard saying: 'Order ke baad pata nahi bachon ko kidhar lekar jaa rahe hai… It is better I find him a better home, a good home.'

Tandon then took the puppy to a veterinarian, where he was given a thorough check-up and vaccinated before being deemed ready for adoption.

A Forever Home in Delhi

The puppy was swiftly adopted by a family in New Delhi, with Tandon crediting a person she identified as Krishnapriya for stepping up immediately. 'Thank you krishnapriya ji for adopting him asap,' Tandon wrote in her caption, adding that Bhairav was now 'ensconced with love, prayers and with his new mommy.'

Tandon, who is the mother of actress Rasha Thadani, shared a string of images and videos documenting the entire journey — from the airport discovery to the vet visit and finally the handover to Bhairav's new family.

The rescue took place as part of a busy travel day for Tandon, who had earlier been in Rishikesh. She expressed gratitude for blessings received during the visit and for being safely dropped to the airport in the rain before heading to Delhi. The full day — spiritual travel, a puppy rescue, and a successful adoption — was what prompted her to call it 'just a full wholesome heartfelt day.'
