Chennai, Feb 27 (NationPress) The digitally enhanced versions of two of actor Ravi Mohan’s most acclaimed films, ‘Jayam’ and ‘M Kumaran S/o Mahalakshmi,’ are scheduled for re-release this summer, according to industry insiders.
‘Jayam,’ produced by Editor Mohan and directed by Mohan Raja in 2003, marked the debut of Ravi Mohan in acting. The film received a warm reception from both fans and critics, establishing a significant milestone in his professional journey.
The following year, his second film, ‘M Kumaran S/o Mahalakshmi,’ became a major hit and was immensely celebrated by audiences in theaters.
These films reinforced the successful collaboration between Ravi Mohan and Mohan Raja, a partnership that continues to hold special significance for many.
Both films have now been digitally remastered using 4K and 5.1 Atmos Sound technology and will soon be re-released.
In addition, Ravi Mohan has at least three new films set for release this year.
His film with director Ganesh Babu, titled Karathey Babu, is a political thriller featuring Ravi Mohan as a politician named Shanmugha Babu representing the R K Nagar constituency.
Directed by the talented Ganesh K Babu, whose film Dada was a sensation in the Tamil film industry, Karathey Babu boasts cinematography by Ezhil Arasu, music by Sam C S, and editing by Kathiresh Alagesan.
Notably, the well-known director Rathna Kumar co-wrote the script, which stars Daudee Jiwal, the daughter of Tamil Nadu DGP Shankar Jiwal, in a leading role.
