Mumbai, Oct 9 (NationPress) Veteran actor Raza Murad took a stroll down memory lane as he reflected on his experiences shooting with the late, legendary multi-talented Kishore Kumar for the 1980 drama film Door Waadiyon Mein Kahin.
Raza took to Instagram, sharing a memorable scene from the film that features him in the role of the Jailer alongside Kishore Kumar.
“A significant scene with the iconic Kishore Kumar in Door Waadiyon Mein Kahin, filmed in Yusmarg, Kashmir. I portrayed a compassionate jailor who empathizes with Rehmat Khan (Kishore Kumar) (sic).”
Raza expresses his gratitude for the chance to collaborate with a genius like Kishore Kumar.
“I feel incredibly fortunate to have shared the screen with the all-rounder genius, the immortal Kishore Kumar (sic),” he noted.
Regarding Kishore Kumar, he is celebrated as one of the most remarkable, influential, and dynamic singers in the history of modern Indian music, renowned for his yodeling and remarkable ability to sing in various voices.
In addition to Hindi, he performed in numerous Indian languages, including Bengali, Marathi, Assamese, Gujarati, Kannada, Bhojpuri, Malayalam, Odia, and Urdu.
Kishore Kumar unexpectedly passed away from a heart attack on October 13, 1987, coinciding with his brother Ashok Kumar's 76th birthday. The day prior to his passing, Kishore recorded his final song, “Guru Guru”, a duet with Asha Bhosle for the film Waqt Ki Awaz, composed by Bappi Lahiri for Mithun Chakraborty and Sridevi.
