Mumbai, March 16 (NationPress) One of the most highly anticipated Mollywood films, L2E: Empuraan, has finally confirmed its release date. The Mohanlal starrer is scheduled for a spectacular global release on March 27, 2025.
In an exciting announcement shared on social media, Mohanlal expressed, "The first day, first show of #L2E #Empuraan will kick off at 6:00 AM IST on March 27, 2025. Screenings worldwide will commence at the corresponding local times. Stay tuned for more updates!"
Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, the screenplay for this project has been crafted by Murali Gopy.
This film serves as a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer and is produced by Subaskaran, Antony Perumbavoor, and Gokulam Gopalan under the banners of Lyca Productions, Aashirvad Cinemas, and Sree Gokulam Movies.
The principal cast of L2E: Empuraan includes Mohanlal reprising his role as Khureshi-Ab’raam aka Stephen Nedumpally, alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, and Jerome Flynn from Game of Thrones.

In the first film, Lucifer, we were introduced to a notorious network controlling the global gold and diamond trade. This syndicate was led by Kureshi-Abr'am and its command force was a mercenary unit. That's how Zayed Masood was introduced to the audience. This was the only glimpse we had of him in that film."
The ambitious production has been filmed in various locations, including Shimla, Leh, the United Kingdom, the United States, Chennai, Gujarat, Hyderabad, the United Arab Emirates, Mumbai, and Kerala.
