Is Rhea Chakraborty Grateful for Her Triumphant Return Post-Sushant Singh Episode?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, Feb 4 (NationPress) Actress Rhea Chakraborty appears to be gradually reclaiming her life. After a hiatus of 7 years, she is set to return to the screen in the new Netflix drama "Family Business".
Stepping back onto the set after such an extended break left the 'Jalebi' star feeling emotional. She took a moment to reflect on her journey in the film industry, which began when she was just 17 years old, arriving in Mumbai with dreams of becoming an actress.
On her official Instagram account, Rhea shared, "Seven years have gone by since I last stepped on a set... But I’m still that same girl who arrived in Bombay at 17 with aspirations of acting. A part of me has moved on, yet another part stayed behind, waiting. Now, I’m here once more, embarking on my chapter 2. Life unfolds while you’re busy making other plans (sic)."
She expressed her gratitude to director Hansal Mehta, the production team, and co-stars Anil Kapoor and Vijay Varma for being part of this new chapter in her life.
"Thank you @hansalmehta @abundantiaent #vikrammalhotra @aktalkies @nirenbhatt @anilskapoor @itsvijayvarma for joining me in my chapter 2," she added.
Her last film was the 2021 release "Chehre", alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi.
Rhea's life faced turmoil following the tragic passing of her then-partner, Sushant Singh Rajput, in 2020, leading to her arrest by the Narcotics Control Bureau in September that year.
In recent times, Rhea has also participated as a gang leader on the reality show "MTV Roadies".
Additionally, she launched her own podcast titled "Chapter 2".
Regarding "Family Business", the teaser showcases Anil Kapoor as the head of a multi-billion-dollar enterprise, with Vijay Varma portraying one of his dedicated employees. The narrative escalates when Anil dismisses Vijay, igniting a struggle for power.
