Mumbai, July 8 (NationPress) On her mother Neetu Kapoor's 67th birthday this Tuesday, daughter Riddhima Kapoor expressed her love and admiration by labeling her as an “incredible woman”, stating that she deserves the utmost joy in life.
Riddhima took to her Instagram stories to share a heartfelt video montage featuring herself, Neetu, her brother Ranbir Kapoor, sister-in-law Alia Bhatt, and their late father Rishi Kapoor.
“To the most incredible woman I know! I feel blessed every single day to call you my mom! You deserve all the happiness in the world today and always! I love you most in the world! Happy Birthday, Ma,” Riddhima captioned the post.
Neetu has made a significant mark in the Hindi film industry, especially during the late 1960s through the early 1980s. In 2012, she was honored with an induction into the Walk of the Stars, an entertainment hall of fame located in Bandra, Mumbai.
She debuted in the swashbuckler film Suraj in 1966 and starred in numerous hit films such as Rickshawala, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, Deewaar, Khel Khel Mein, Kabhi Kabhie, Amar Akbar Anthony, Dharam Veer, Parvarish, Jaani Dushman, Kaala Patthar, and Yaarana.
After taking a hiatus following her appearance in the thriller film Ganga Meri Maa in 1983, she made a comeback with a supporting role in the romantic comedy Love Aaj Kal three decades later. Her most recent project is Jugjugg Jeeyo.
In other news, Neetu Kapoor is set to appear in Kapil Sharma's upcoming film, which has been extensively filmed in the picturesque settings of Shimla. The movie also features Riddhima Kapoor and is helmed by Ashish R Mohan, currently holding the tentative title, “DKS”.
As a tribute to the occasion, the director shared a nostalgic note expressing gratitude to the entire team for an unforgettable filming experience.
Ashish noted, “As we call 'wrap' on our film, it feels like watching the last light of a powerful sunset - beautiful, a little bittersweet, and filled with memories of everything we've been through together.”
Detailing the shooting experience, he added, “Over the past 52 days, we faced it all - storms, hail, freezing temperatures, and even the looming fear of war. But like sunlight breaking through grey clouds, your spirit, courage, and dedication never wavered.”
