Los Angeles, March 9 (NationPress) Hollywood singer-songwriter Rihanna recently honored motherhood on International Women’s Day.
The 37-year-old artist shared two heartfelt photos on her Instagram, capturing moments just after the birth of her sons, RZA, now 2, and Riot Rose, who is 19 months old, according to People magazine.
In her post, she wrote, "By far the most powerful thing I’ve ever done as a woman…my little miracles! #InternationalWomensDay", highlighting the first image with her elder son and the second taken following the birth of Riot Rose.
According to People, the delivery room snapshots depict the ever-glamorous pop star adorned with a gold necklace and pearls as she welcomed RZA into the world, and wearing pink sunglasses after giving birth to her younger son.
"And yes I gave birth in pearls and sunglasses…don’t ask, a lot was happening," she humorously remarked in her caption.
Rihanna shares her two sons with partner A$AP Rocky, whom she has been dating since 2020. The entrepreneur has been open about her love for being a mother.
Shortly after the birth of RZA, she graced the cover of British Vogue alongside Rocky, 36, and their then-infant son. The cover showcased an adorable family moment of them strolling along the beach, with Rocky kissing the smiling baby on the forehead while Rihanna walked ahead.
In the accompanying article, Rihanna described motherhood as "legendary", adding, "It’s everything. You really don’t remember life before, that’s the craziest thing ever.”
She shared with Vogue at that time, "You literally try to remember it, and there are photos of my life before, but the feeling, the desires, the things that you enjoy, everything, you just don’t identify with it because you don’t even allow yourself mentally to get that far. Because it doesn’t matter.”
The singer announced her second pregnancy during her performance at the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show, and Riot was born in August of that year.
