Mumbai, Oct 25 (NationPress) Actor Riteish Deshmukh recently posted a tranquil video showcasing the stunning Sahyadri mountains on his Instagram stories, captioned as "The beautiful Sahyadri, #RajaShivaji".
The mist-laden hills and vibrant greenery provided a mesmerizing backdrop, offering fans a glimpse into the natural splendor surrounding the filming of his forthcoming Marathi historical epic, 'Raja Shivaji'.
Currently engaged in the much-anticipated project, Riteish, who is also directing the film, selected the Sahyadri ranges as the primary location to encapsulate the magnificence and spirit of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's legacy.
This film marks his return to Marathi cinema following the triumph of 'Ved' and 'Lai Bhaari'.
Recently, the actor took to social media to inform his followers that this year, he and his family could not celebrate Diwali in their hometown, Latur, as they usually do, due to his filming schedule. However, he shared moments of his Diwali celebrations held in Mumbai with his son and wife, Genelia D'Souza.
In the video shared by Riteish, he is seen happily applying milk, uptan, and oil to his sons as part of the traditional Diwali ritual, emphasizing a touching bonding moment between the father and his boys.
The clip also featured the children creating colorful rangolis, followed by Genelia performing the aarti for her sons as part of a heartwarming family tradition.
In a lovely twist, Riteish and the boys also performed Genelia's "aarti," after which the kids sweetly bowed to seek blessings from their mother.
The video wrapped up with all four—Riteish, Genelia, Riaan, and Raahyl—wishing everyone a Happy Diwali and Happy Padwa.
Riteish also shared images of handwritten letters from his sons, who missed him during the Diwali lunch.
One note read, "Hi Baba! Happy Diwali! Hope you are enjoying yourself on set. We miss you for the Diwali lunch, but I know you are working on something you love. I wish you success for your film."
Another note from his younger son stated, "Hi, Baba! I know you are putting in a lot of effort for us. Today is Diwali, but I hope the light reaches you. The Diwali lunch won't be the same without you. Have a fantastic day at the shoot. Love, Rayo Payo."
Sharing the letters, Riteish expressed, "There’s nothing quite like receiving letters from your kids on Diwali. And added, Aur jeene ko kya chahiye. Shooting for 'Raja Shivaji' is special, but receiving letters from my boys makes it timeless."
