Los Angeles, Sep 28 (NationPress) Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds once let out a curse directed at his wife Blake Lively just before he answered a call from comedian Bill Murray.

The star of Deadpool, aged 48, who has been married to Blake, aged 38, since 2012, recounted his attempts to connect with Bill, who is 75, during an event in New Jersey promoting the documentary John Candy: I Like Me, as reported by Female First UK.

Ryan detailed how he tirelessly worked to enlist the actor’s participation in the film centered on comedian John Candy.

According to Female First UK, he left “40 messages” for Bill before eventually obtaining the actor’s contact number via “a friend of a friend of a friend”.

He recounted, “I’ll come to you. I’ll do whatever it takes,” while reminiscing about the voicemail he left, asking to “pick (Bill’s) brain” regarding John Candy’s legacy. His dedication seemed to bear fruit at a formal gathering with Blake.

Ryan shared, “I’m there with my wife and we’re about to enter, and my phone buzzes. I see it's Bill Murray, and I shout, ‘Bill Murray!’” To which Blake whispered, “We need to go in!” But Ryan responded, “F*** you,” before taking the call.

Bill assured Ryan he would get back to him regarding the project. Ryan confessed to continuing his efforts by leaving “another 40 messages” in what he described as a “desperate” attempt to complete the film.

Ultimately, Ryan recorded a video message while his kids interrupted him. He humorously stated, “If you refuse a child like that, what kind of monster are you?”

This tactic worked, as Bill returned the call “two seconds later,” asking, “What do you need from me for JC (John Candy)?”

Ryan and Blake are proud parents to four children: James, Inez, Betty, and Olin.
