Saba Azad Hospitalized with Parasitic Infection, Hrithik Roshan Provides Support
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, March 27 (NationPress) The talented actress Saba Azad has been admitted to the hospital after contracting Cyclospora cayetanensis, a type of parasitic infection.
Throughout this challenging period, her partner Hrithik Roshan has been a source of support, lifting her mood even during her struggles.
The actress, known for her role in 'Who's Your Gynac?', disclosed that she has experienced a significant weight loss of 4 kilograms over the past two weeks as a result of the illness. This infection struck her unexpectedly, even though she primarily consumes home-cooked meals and is diligent about carrying her own water.
Saba shared a snapshot on Instagram, giving a peace sign while resting in a large hospital bed.
In her caption, she recounted her experience of the 'most challenging 14 days' of her life: "Worst 14 days of my life. Cyclospora cayetanensis, you nasty piece of work!! For someone who only ever eats home food and carries her water bottle everywhere, this bug came out of nowhere, especially during the busiest season for me. I’ve lost 4 kgs that I didn’t have to spare in just two weeks and can barely walk. One day I’m training twice a day, doing pull-ups, lifting heavy, and the next I’m half my size, without the strength to lift a toothpick, let alone weights (sic)."
She urged everyone to thoroughly wash their fruits and vegetables before eating.
"So please, for the love of your gut, wash your salad leaves and vegetables as if your life depends on it—because sometimes it really does!!" She recommended a new method involving baking soda and a veggie wash, mentioning that Herbal Strategi offers a good product.
Saba also expressed her gratitude towards Hrithik for his ability to inject humor into difficult situations.
"Thanks to @hrithikroshan, who’s kept my very grumpy spirits up and always finds humor in the toughest situations... PS - I haven’t shrunk as much as it may seem here; the bed is oversized and the angle is wide," she concluded her post.
For those unfamiliar, Cyclospora cayetanensis is a protozoan parasite responsible for causing cyclosporiasis, a diarrheal illness transmitted through contaminated food and water.
