Mumbai, July 4 (NationPress) Following his role in Sikandar, Salman Khan is primed to return to the silver screen with the highly anticipated war drama, Battle Of Galwan. The initial look at Apoorva Lakhia's direction has been revealed through the first look poster of the film.
Khan showcases a striking mustache for his portrayal of a soldier in Battle Of Galwan, exuding a fierce energy in his rugged combat appearance, complete with a bloodied face and a look of steely resolve.
The poster prominently features the statement, "Over 15,000 feet above sea level India fought its most brutal battle without firing a single bullet."
This first look was released on the film's official Instagram account, accompanied by the caption, “Blood, grit, and patriotism at 15,000 ft. Salman Khan is ready for the most powerful story of modern India. #BattleOfGalwan motion poster out now!” Khan also shared the poster on his personal Instagram.
For those unfamiliar, the Battle Of Galwan was a significant clash between Indian and Chinese forces in 2020, set in the Galwan Valley—a contentious border area in Ladakh. As firearms were banned in this region, the soldiers engaged in hand-to-hand combat using sticks and stones. This confrontation resulted in the first casualties in the Sino-Indian border conflict in nearly 45 years.
Music for Battle Of Galwan has been composed by Himesh Reshamiya, featuring Chitrangada Singh as the lead actress opposite Khan. Reports suggest that three young male actors will also join Khan’s core team in the film.
The release date for Battle Of Galwan is yet to be announced.
Additionally, it has been reported that Khan will reunite with his Saajan co-star Sanjay Dutt in an upcoming film, tentatively titled Ganga Ram.
