He wrote in his post, "Best wishes, Raju, for Son of Sardaar 2. It would have been a blast to do this one alongside you @ajaydevgn."
In the original film, "Son of Sardaar", which premiered in 2012, Dutt and Ajay portrayed characters who were rivals due to a longstanding family feud.
Dutt played the role of Balwinder Singh Sandhu (also known as Billu), while Ajay took on the character of Jaswinder Singh Randhawa (Jassi). In the sequel, although Ajay returns to his role, Dutt has been substituted by actor and politician Ravi Kishan.
The trailer begins with Jassi (Ajay) getting married to Dimple (Neeru Bajwa), after which he outlines the four major challenges he faces in life. The first issue is that Dimple is seeking a divorce from him.
For his second predicament, Jassi finds himself entangled with four women, including Rabia (played by Mrunal Thakur), whom he loves, but she hails from Pakistan. His third challenge involves being caught up in a mafia family, while his fourth and final issue relates to a promise made to his 'bebe'.
Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, "Son of Sardaar 2" features an impressive cast, including Ajay Devgn, Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Mrunal Thakur, Neeru Bajwa, Chunky Panday, Kubbra Sait, Deepak Dobriyal, Vindu Dara Singh, Roshni Walia, Sharat Saxena, Ashwini Kalsekar, Sahil Mehta, and the late Mukul Dev in prominent roles.
