Mumbai, March 25 (NationPress) Actress Saumya Tandon has initiated an exciting new chapter in her life by starting her horse riding lessons, describing the encounter as both “intimidating” and “overwhelming.”
Saumya took to Instagram to share a series of captivating images and videos from her first class. Expressing her joy in achieving a long-held aspiration, she voiced her profound admiration for horses, calling them “elegant” and “perhaps the most beautiful creatures.”
She noted: “On my first day and first class of horse riding, I’ve always had a love for horses. They are so elegant and possibly the most stunning animals; I've been fascinated by them forever. I dreamt of having a large farm filled with beautiful horses and dogs, imagining myself riding them.”
During her lesson, she made a new equine friend named “Badshah.”
“I must admit that learning to ride was quite a challenge; the initial day was intimidating, overwhelming, and yes, I felt some back pain. But I formed a wonderful friendship with Badshah, the charming white horse.”

Recently, Saumya appeared in the first part of the duology “Dhurandhar,” which also features Akshaye Khanna, Ranveer Singh, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi, along with supporting roles by Manav Gohil, Danish Pandor, Gaurav Gera, and Naveen Kaushik.
The film draws inspiration from real events tied to geopolitical tensions and covert operations of India's R&AW, particularly those surrounding Operation Lyari, the 2008 Mumbai attacks, and the clampdown on gangs and criminal syndicates.
Saumya began her career with modeling and was the “Femina Cover Girl First Runner Up” in 2006.
She starred in the Afghan series Khushi in 2008, portraying an Afghan woman doctor as part of an international project.
