Mumbai, Nov 22 (NationPress) Punjabi singer-actress Shehnaaz Gill experienced a “little desi moment” as she took the stage for a karaoke performance at a “non-desi cafe” in Canada, delighting fans with her rendition of the title track from “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil”.

Shehnaaz shared the moment on Instagram, posting a video where she begins by asking the audience if her voice sounds fine before launching into the song.

“Little desi moment in a very non-desi café……unprofessional singers,” she captioned the clip.

The film “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil,” released in 2016 and directed by Karan Johar, features a star-studded cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Fawad Khan, with Lisa Haydon and Imran Abbas in supporting roles.

Set in iconic locations like London, Paris, Vienna, and Lucknow, the film delves into themes of unrequited love, friendship, heartbreak, and emotional connections between its main characters: Ayan, Alizeh, Saba, and Ali.

This film marked Johar's return to directing after Student of the Year, noted for its emotionally resonant storyline and stunning visual presentation.

In terms of her latest work, Shehnaaz recently released “Ikk Kudi,” which narrates the journey of a woman from a family plagued by heartbreak, who begins to question her arranged marriage and investigates her fiancé’s enigmatic background.

Shehnaaz's career began with modeling, debuting in the 2015 music video Shiv Di Kitaab. She stepped into acting with the Punjabi film Sat Shri Akaal England in 2017.

Her rise to fame came from her participation in the 13th season of Bigg Boss, which opened doors for her in Bollywood, including a project with superstar Salman Khan and many more.
