Mumbai, Nov 22 (NationPress) As the musical romantic drama “Lamhe” celebrated its 34th anniversary on Saturday, actor Anil Kapoor marked the occasion with joy, sharing that he has received numerous messages affirming that the film has not aged, which he described as “meaning everything.”
Anil took to his Instagram stories, posting a film poster and stating: “34 years of Lamhe and the love still keeps pouring in! Even Farah, usually my toughest critic, shared some kind words about my work, which was quite surprising…(sic)”
“So many messages saying the film hasn't aged. That means everything. If you haven't seen it yet, Lamhe is now streaming on Netflix #34YearsOfLamhe (sic),” he added.
The film, released in 1991, was directed and produced by Yash Chopra. It starred the late Sridevi in a remarkable dual role as both mother and daughter, with Anil Kapoor playing the lead alongside Waheeda Rehman, Anupam Kher, Deepak Malhotra, and Dippy Sagoo. This film represented the second and final collaboration between Sridevi and Chopra, following their earlier success, Chandni, which came out in 1989.
