On Saturday, Anil shared a collection of photographs featuring the late filmmaker-actor on his Instagram account, reflecting on the profound influence Raj Kapoor had on him.

In his caption, he expressed, “14th December, Raj Uncle’s birthday, has always held a special place in my heart. This date has been eagerly anticipated not just by me and my family but also by the entire Indian film industry as a day of celebration.”

He continued, “The work of Raj Uncle has always been a source of deep inspiration for me; his aura, artistry, and vision were unparalleled then, and continue to be unmatched today. On the occasion of his 100th birthday, I fondly reflect on his timeless films, the cherished moments at RK Studios, our time spent at his residence in Deonar, and the remarkable legacy he established. Happy 100th birthday to the ‘Greatest Showman,’ Raj Kapoor. Your magic will always leave me in awe (sic).”

Anil Kapoor is part of the illustrious Kapoor family, as his father, Surinder Kapoor, was a cousin of the family’s patriarch, Prithviraj Kapoor, who was the father of Raj Kapoor.

Meanwhile, the Kapoor family, recognized as the first dynasty of the Hindi film industry, hosted a grand event to honor Raj Kapoor’s centenary. Esteemed personalities such as Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Neetu Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor, and many others were present.

Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor, along with his actress wife Alia Bhatt, was spotted at the event. Ranbir was seen sporting a moustache, likely as part of his character’s look for his upcoming film ‘Love and War,’ where he will share the screen with his wife and his ‘Sanju’ co-star, Vicky Kaushal.
