Mumbai, Oct 28 (NationPress) Actress Shehnaaz Gill visited the Golden Temple to seek divine blessings prior to the release of “Ikk Kudi”, emphasizing that the film is crafted specifically for Punjab.
Discussing her visit, Shehnaaz shared with IANS: “I have come here to receive God’s blessings. Our film is set to release soon, and I pray for its success.”
Filmed in Chandigarh, Ikk Kudi was initially slated for a September 19 release but has been rescheduled to October 31.
Shehnaaz elaborated, “Yes, we moved the release to October 31. I urge everyone to watch the film. This project is made especially for Punjab. If Punjabis do not watch it, the experience won’t be the same.”
“The title of the film is Ik Kudi. It will premiere on October 31. I hope everyone will love it. We have created something truly special,” she added.
Ikk Kudi, marking Shehnaaz’s debut as a producer, portrays a girl’s journey to discover the right partner. Written and directed by Amarjit Singh Saron, the film is set to grace theaters on October 31.
The film’s release was delayed from its initial September 19 date due to the devastating floods in Punjab.
Reflecting on the situation, she mentioned: “I contributed as much as I could. The conditions in Punjab were extremely dire.”
After achieving fame through her appearance on “Bigg Boss 13”, Shehnaaz’s brother, Shehbaz, is currently competing in the show’s 19th season.
Expressing pride in her brother’s journey, she said: “I feel wonderful. I want all Punjabis to rally behind Shehbaz. All viewers of Bigg Boss in India, please support him. He is doing an excellent job.
